At Fine Arts, I went to a writing workshop. The instructor gave us ten tips on how to improve our writing. One of the things he said was that every story has to have conflict. Not necessarily "Someone's dying!" kind of conflict, more like "What am I going to wear today?" type of conflict. Our teacher also said that we need to be willing to listen to criticism, and also revise over and over and over until we are satisfied.

Once Upon A Story ~ SB4 ~ page 102
Internal Rhyme
Next Day
One small snowman went off to play
in the world of The Next Day.
What he didn't know
was that the snow was about to go.
Very soon her felt
he was starting to melt.
The snowman rushed
but soon he gushed
down a hill against his will.
Feeling Poem
Hope
Hope sounds like birds twittering to each other.
Hope looks like wrapped presents.
Hope tastes like a fresh ripe strawberry.
Hope smells like a spring rain shower.
Hope feels like sitting on a porch swing watching a sunset.
Simile
Fall
Fall is like apples,
that turn itno cider.
Scarecrows come down,
like the snow will do soon,
jack'o'lanterns shine
as bright as the moon.
